There is a world where strife is settled by competition instead of fights, with marble-shooting devices instead of guns. True B-daplayers abide by a code of honor. One would think it would be a fairly peaceful world. But then, something happened to disrupt what peace there was.

       Several years before the start of the show, a great evil rose up to abduct and enslave powerful players. In an effort to appeal to the B-damage, a deity-like individual in this world, the sage Armada sacrificed his greatest creation. This B-daman, Cobalt Blade, was sent far away, not to be seen again until six years later.

       A boy raised by cats, Yamato, found Cobalt Blade, but it was taken from him and hidden away by his adoptive mother in an effort to protect him. Fate had other plans for Yamato, and Cobalt Blade found its way into his hands once again. From that day forth, Yamato would follow the path he was destined for.

       Battle B-Daman follows Yamato as he follows his dream to become a champion at the B-daman sport. Along the way he makes close friends, turns former enemies into allies, and takes on the greatest evil of the world. It's a story of comedy and good-natured fun, with a dark undercurrent and characters with real personalities. Everyone has their own reason for siding with Yamato, and half the fun is in figuring it all out.
